Tom & Teddy are an Australian men’s swimwear brand, producing premium boardshorts plus swimwear for men and boys. G+V have been working with Tom & Teddy for three years now on their design, print and digital marketing. An with our help the brand is now expanding into new markets globally.
G+V were initially approached by Tom & Teddy to work on their shopify ecommerce websites, carrying out a series of technical improvements as well as providing design input. Following success with this, we were appointed to run the Facebook Advertising campaign for the US launch of Tom & Teddy in time for Father’s Day and 4th of July activity.
Being a family focussed brand, Father’s Day is one of the most vital sales periods of the year. Launching into this new territory, we needed to ensure that our targeting was correct in order to hit the ground running effectively as soon as possible.
A deep analysis of existing site traffic, social fans and a look at previous campaign performance helped us to determine audience groups and locations to target. We created fresh creative for each audience, and continuously tested variations of ad copy, imagery and format.
We used Facebook Custom Audiences and pixel events for retargeting, as well as lookalike audiences to expand the pool of users to target. As part of this project, we also worked with Tom & Teddy on their content strategy, to boost awareness of the brand, assisting with content generation and promotion.
